The Journey Collection is a representation of the experience of life – the physical or emotional happenings that take us from one place or stage to another. I made a conscious effort to show this journey  through the marks made with the fabrics and thread that reflect the different stages of the journey. As I worked on these pieces,  I had a starting point… and I just went with the flow. Intersecting with obstacles, going around them, making choices, crossing over back and forth until the journey was complete. The process of making the pieces is like a journey to me.
